Michigan Transfer Agreement Kvcc

Our transfer guides prepare KVCC students for a number of WMU-specific majors. If your commanding officer is not mentioned, please contact your WMU representative for additional support. Below, we describe the MTA courses by the sending institution. These courses were evaluated based on the distribution needs of the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA). Other schools and higher education institutions have different requirements for the transmission of MTA course certificates and different requirements from the courses required for admission. Please check our requirements and deadlines (add a link). Note: Your major`s department courses cannot count for distribution. If a course passes through your major`s department, it cannot be used for distribution. For example, an English major must complete the distribution of the humanities with courses outside the department of Englsih.

WMU Essential Studies (WES) is the program required for all students at Western Michigan University. The courses are designed to help students change smoothly and make a contribution; Develop perseverance and be ready for their future. Students develop the skills that employers look for most in graduates – complex problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, emotional intelligence, judgment and decision-making. The WES guide is for catalog years from 2020. The MTA completes WES Levels 1 and 2, so transfer students are encouraged to complete the MTA before moving to Western. Joint agreements are renewed every three years and may receive minor updates more often. If an articulation agreement is not renewed at the end of their effective period, students who have already started the programme have an additional three years to join EMU in accordance with the agreement. If an agreement mentioned here has passed the deadline for its validity, which is on the last page of the Guide, contact Community College Relations at [email protected] or by phone at 734.487.6577. Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Western Michigan University have established a transfer partnership. Our goal is to help you optimize your time at KVCC so that your transition to WMU goes as smoothly as possible.

This site guides you to online resources and real people in permissions and tips who want to take care of your questions and help you succeed. Courses marked with an asterisk are not transmitted if they are taken online until December 31, 2019. Courses completed from January 2020 and 2020/21 will be broadcast regardless of how they are offered. See more detailed note above. At present, no classes are allowed for the 4th semester equivalence. There are language classes at a lower level that are transmitted. For more information, see Transfer Credit Equivalency Search for all transferable classes. You can start a language on KVCC and complete the LSA language request after transmission.
